Rabel's Theatrum Florae

The prints illustrate a variety of flowers, with beautiful gouache coloring. These prints are a spectacular addition to any collection. Many of the prints depict the flowers in full bloom with almost scientific realism.

Theatrum Florae was an immediate success when first published. The third edition, published in 1633, featured Daniel Rabel's name.

Rabel was born in 1578. He enjoyed the patronage of Gaston, Duke of Orléans.
