PRIZE BULLS AND SHEEP
Through the 19th century, the British Isles had become the center of the most successful selective breeding programs for domestic farm animals.
There were many popular illustrated volumes attesting to the pride the breeders had in their enterprises.
The Prize Bull illustrations were published in 1805 by G. Garrand. The originals were hand colored etching The Sheep by Longman of London were originally colored lithographs.
We have reproduced in color, eight subjects that are suitable for country kitchens or of framed in a sophisticated manner, formal dining areas.
