MERIAN BOTANICALS

Matthaus Merian (1593 – 1650) produced one of the most beautiful engraved books of the 17^th century. The 400 plates within Der Fruchtbringeden Gesellschaft Nahmen (1646) were each dedicated to a single flower, fruit or tree and set against a German town or landscape.

The eight full color reproductions we have produced, make a wonderful grouping when framed in miniature.
